Convert WebP to JPG
This tool converts WebP images to JPG. The reason to do it is almost always compatibility: every current browser shows WebP, but plenty of older programs, print services and devices still expect a JPG. The conversion runs in your browser, and your image is never uploaded.

Questions
- Why convert WebP to JPG at all?
- Compatibility. WebP is the better format on a web page, but a JPG is the file that everything opens, from an old photo printer to a slide deck on a colleague machine.
- Does the image lose quality?
- A little. Both formats are lossy, so the picture is decoded and encoded a second time. At the default quality of 90 that stays invisible on a photograph.
- What happens to an animated WebP?
- JPG cannot hold an animation, so you get a single still image rather than a moving one.
- What happens to transparent areas?
- They become white, because a JPG cannot store transparency. If you need to keep it, PNG is the output to choose.
