Generate a QR code for an e-mail

This tool turns a recipient address, subject and message into a QR code. Scanning it opens a new draft in the scanner's own mail app, with the recipient, subject and body already filled in, so nobody has to type the address by hand. Only the recipient is required; subject and body are optional. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.

Questions

What happens when the code is scanned?
The phone's camera recognises it as an e-mail and offers to open a new draft in the scanner's own mail app, with the recipient, subject and body already filled in.
Are the subject and message required?
No. Only the recipient's address is required. Leave the subject or the message blank and the draft opens with just the address filled in.
How long may the address be?
Up to 254 characters, the maximum an e-mail address can have.
Does my message reach a server?
No. The code is generated in your browser, so the recipient and the message never leave your device.
