Convert JSON to CSV
This tool writes a JSON array as a CSV table, with a header row built from the keys it finds. Not every JSON document is a table, and this page is mostly about that difference: an array of objects becomes rows and columns, while a single object or a bare value has no table in it. The conversion runs in your browser, and your file is never uploaded.

How it works
- 1 Choose a JSON file whose top level is an array.
- 2 Set the delimiter if the result should not use a comma.
- 3 GRID16 writes the table in your browser.
- 4 Download the CSV.
Questions
- Which JSON can become a table?
- One whose top level is an array. A single object or a bare value has no rows, and the job says so rather than inventing a table.
- What happens to nested objects and arrays?
- They are written as JSON text inside the cell. That keeps the value complete in a single CSV field, which is the only answer that loses nothing.
- What if the objects do not all have the same keys?
- The header holds every column that appears anywhere, in the order it first appeared, and a row that lacks one leaves that cell empty.
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The conversion happens in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
