Convert CSV to JSON
This tool converts a CSV file to JSON in your browser. Two settings decide what you get: the delimiter, because not every export separates with a comma, and whether the first row is a header, because that is what turns rows into named fields. Your file is never uploaded.

How it works
- 1 Choose a CSV file.
- 2 Set the delimiter if the file does not use a comma.
- 3 Say whether the first row is a header row.
- 4 Download the JSON.
Questions
- My file separates with semicolons. Does that work?
- Yes. The delimiter is a setting, so a file exported by a German Excel converts exactly like one with commas.
- What does the header setting change?
- With a header row the first line names the keys and you get a list of objects. Without one you get a list of rows, which keeps every column even when the file gives them no names.
- What about quotes and line breaks inside a field?
- They are handled. A quoted field may contain the delimiter, a line break, and a doubled quote where the text holds a quote of its own.
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The conversion happens in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
