Make a bar chart

This tool turns a short list of labels and numbers into a bar chart: type or paste one row per bar, add a title if you want one, and download the result as a PNG for a slide or an SVG for a page. Paste cells straight from a spreadsheet, or choose a CSV file instead, read in your browser and never uploaded. Up to 50 bars, drawn entirely on your device.

Runs in your browser

One label and number per line. Paste cells from a spreadsheet, or choose a CSV file. Never uploaded.

Output format

How it works

  1. 1 Type or paste one label and number per line, separated by a comma, a semicolon or a tab.
  2. 2 Or choose a CSV file. GRID16 reads it in your browser and never uploads it.
  3. 3 Add a title if you want one.
  4. 4 Download the chart as a PNG or an SVG.

Questions

What format should my data be in?
One bar per line, a label followed by its number, such as "Product A, 42". Cells pasted from a spreadsheet work the same way, and a header row is recognised and skipped.
Can I use a comma as the decimal separator?
Yes, as long as the rows are separated by a semicolon or a tab rather than a comma, since a comma cannot mark both a separator and a decimal point on the same line.
How many bars can I chart?
Up to 50. Beyond that a bar chart stops being readable, so the tool asks for fewer rows instead of drawing one.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. A CSV file is read in your browser and the chart is drawn there too, so your numbers never leave your device.
